Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal owned, founded, and issued by the M.T. Urozboev Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and short communications presenting the results of fundamental and applied research in mechanics, engineering, and related technical disciplines.

The journal has been published since 1992 and was officially registered by the Agency for Information and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan under Certificate No. 0050. The journal’s P-ISSN is 2010-7250.

The primary mission of the journal is to advance modern mechanics, disseminate reliable scientific knowledge, promote innovative engineering solutions, and strengthen national and international scientific cooperation. The journal provides an academic platform for the exchange of research findings among scientists, engineers, academics, doctoral candidates, master’s students, and early-career researchers.

The journal adheres to the principles of research integrity, editorial independence, transparent editorial procedures, independent peer review, Open Access, and internationally recognised standards of scholarly publishing.

Publication Frequency

Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” is published quarterly, with four issues released annually. Manuscripts are accepted throughout the year and are published only after successful completion of editorial screening, peer review, revision, and final acceptance.

The journal accepts and publishes manuscripts in English, Russian, and Uzbek.

Open Access Policy

Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently available immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, or access restrictions.

All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The license permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, cite, adapt, and reuse published materials, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The journal applies no embargo period, and published content remains permanently available on the official journal website.

Peer Review Process

Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” operates a double-anonymous peer review system in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another throughout the review process.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with appropriate scientific expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, scientific relevance, methodological quality, accuracy, clarity, ethical compliance, and contribution to the journal’s scope.

The final decision to accept, request revision, or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ responses, and the revised manuscript. Detailed requirements are provided in the journal’s Peer Review Policy.

Publication Ethics

Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” is committed to publication ethics, academic integrity, transparency, editorial independence, and responsible research conduct.

The Editorial Board follows the recommendations and core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies internationally recognised ethical standards throughout manuscript submission, editorial assessment, peer review, publication, and post-publication processes.

Article Processing Charge

The journal charges an Article Processing Charge of USD 100 only for manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication. No submission fee is charged.

The Article Processing Charge covers editorial administration, peer review management, manuscript preparation, digital publication, Open Access dissemination, metadata processing, and long-term digital preservation. Payment of the charge does not influence peer review or editorial decisions.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics” does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, inappropriate authorship, or other forms of research and publication misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism-detection software before entering the peer review process. Similarity reports are evaluated by the Editorial Board with consideration of the nature and extent of the similarities, citation practices, source attribution, and relevant disciplinary conventions.

Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism or other serious misconduct may be rejected at any stage of the editorial process.
